Honest and fair. That's all you can ask for in an auto shop these days. And it's hard to find someone you can trust. Well, Hud's has proven themselves as a trustworthy business to me. They don't try to upsale or mislead you, and their prices are always fair. As an electrician, I know labor costs money. They do a good job labor wise and typically pretty quick too. They also stand by their warranty for any type of work done. They have taken care of my daughters car multiple times (it's an old car) and have always done a good job. I would definitely recommend Hud's for any type of auto work.

I took my truck to Hud's to get an alignment done. Previously a Chevrolet dealer did some front end work to my pickup (tie rod ends, idler and pitman arm) and claimed their alignment machine was broke. I called another dealer and told me there was too many variables after I asked if they could get my truck aligned perfectly on the dot. I had it aligned at an NTB after that but it never was really perfect. I put up with an alignment that was within spec but not right for around 15k miles. I got referred to Hud's from Ted at discount tire right down the road for this alignment service. After taking my truck to Hud's it now drives perfectly straight down the road just like it did when it was new. I got great service, a quick time frame, and a fair charge. Nice doing business with honest guys for once.

We have dealt with Hud's twice. They operate their business with the utmost old school values of integrity and honesty with no upselling or bait & switch. Cameron, who handles the front desk, is very helpful and a real peach. We had Hud's check over our 10 year Camry that we were giving to our son. I needed to know it was safe and mechanically sound. They thoroughly inspected the engine, checking all seals, thingamabobs and whatchamacallits. Obviously, I know nothing about cars and Hud's could have sold me any service or parts replacement. They told me that the motor was safe and sound. The extremely reasonable charge was worth the peace of mind. BONUS: Hud's provided a ride home and picked me up to get our car. We have referred friends to Hud's and they were all pleased. Deal with confidence!

I was in a trip from Colorado to San Antonio texas and in the middle of the trip my AC started leaking inside and outside the car for some reason so I searched for a mechanic near me and Hud's auto service pop up so when I got there the guy at the front desk told me the earliest he could get my car checked out was going to be the next day but I explained that I had to be at san antonio before 5 that day so, he asked one of the mechanics if he could check what was wrong with my car, he said yes so, the mechanic fix the leak very fast so we could get on our way both guys were very professional and nice I totally recommend this place.

We are from Clovis. Had new tires and rim's put on at a shop and we noticed all kind of noise while driving to Lubbock this morning. Pulled in and Aaron helped us out, he tightened all the lug nuts and lent us his torque wrench to check the lug nuts on the way home, and no charge. They were great. Would recommend them.

Awesome service! I brought my 2016 Ram Ecodiesel here for a forced regeneration, and I had to limp it here. They were awesome with it, very inexpensive and they even ran my check engine light and learned it was the fuel filter throwing the code. They were very nice at the desk, I am always a little cautious because I have been treated badly by other mechanics, but they did not talk down to me like the other ones have. I will always recommend Hud's now!

04-04-2024 Was referred by a friend to take my vehicle here due to having a coolant leak. They found the leak and replaced my radiator and thermostat. My vehicle was ready the next morning. Also let me know they found an oil leak also. Very informative on what was going on, what needed replaced and answered all my questions. Cameron and Hud were both super nice! Great customer service! We brought our Dodge 2500 to Huds because A&B Muffler highly recommended them. We had previously taken our truck to Frontier Dodge 3x and one time they said it was the catalytic converter and would cost over $7000. The last time they couldn't figure out the issue, so we took it to A&B Muffler, they tested it for FREE and said it was good, so we went to Huds. They got us up and going quickly! The guys are honest and reliable!

We had an issue with the RV A/C in the truck where it was sometimes blowing air but also seemed to turn off -the whole family sweating in Texas July heat and had a long trip ahead on July 4th weekend. The RV place we rented at, if we ever got through to call, indicated it was likely a sticky unit And to try turning to cold then hot then cold and see if it would help (and then they left as we waited on hold).. it did not and we were on our own. We stopped for Freon but Freon was full. My father found HUD's and they were a lifesaver; God is good. I barely had any money in my wallet so I gave him what I had. We cannot say enough good things about this place, the employees, and highly recommend if you are in or around the Lubbock area to go here if needed! To the mechanic and team at HUD's-Thank you for all you do- we appreciate you and wish there were more places like this everywhere and closer to our house. We would be lifelong customers.

We were from out of state and we had Issues with our diesel truck late in the afternoon. We looked for a close diesel repair place, and they answered the phone immediately as several put us on lengthy holds. We asked them for help on short notice, and they enthusiastically told us the would clear a bay and start as soon as we could get there. They recommend a towing company for us very fairly priced. We arrived there at 5pm and they told us the 2 scenarios and they were able to fix it and even stayed a little past 6pm so we could be on the road. Their kind demeanor and professionalism throughout a very frustrating ordeal was above and beyond what I have ever received from any repair shop or dealership. The service manager even offered to give us a ride to a nearby restaurant. Would recommend to anyone who needed car repairs.

The staff here are amazing. Even with the current environment and having to run their business with "no contact" they exceeded my expectations. My repairs were done the same day and they called to explain everything that was wrong and get my consent before they repaired anything. Nathan was even so kind as to recommend that I file a claim with my insurance once I realized what must have caused the damages. He offered to keep the damaged pieces for me at the shop so the adjuster could see them. The next day, Cameron took the time to send me pictures of the damaged wheel hubs that I could send to my insurance company. Their level of service is above and beyond and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

My lemon of a Ford Escape (thanks Pollard) has brought me tremendous trouble for the last 3 years and it is sooo comforting to have finally found an honest, fair and timely mechanic/auto shop. I wish I would have let Hud's fix it the first three times this same issue came up. Finally went to the right person. HUD's is beyond wonderful. They never pressured me about what needed to be done. They dont fix anything until you confirm and they are very open about what they are doing and how much it will be, which wasn't absolutely absurd, like with what I've been told and paid elsewhere. I truly appreciate how these guys took car of me and my vehicle. Like I said my vehicle has had this repair done multiple times, supposedly, and it always took anywhere from 7-15 days. I had my car back in 2. TWO!!..and that was after I was relieved to know I wouldnt have to sell a kidney for the repair, so I asked them to also do a brake service, bc they had been squeaking. Which they also called and discussed service & pricing before doing. I can not believe I didnt find Hud's sooner. I will NEVER go anywhere else for auto service again. I highly recommend Hud's to anyone needing honest, quality, inexpensive auto service! Thank you Hud's for being so great! Especially Nathan, Cameron and Mr. Hud himself. Your customer service is impeccable! You have found a customer for life!

I took my Toyota Corolla to Hud's because I was having issues with the car hesitating on starting. They checked it over and found a faulty starter. Before starting the repair they contacted me, and gave me an estimate for the parts and labor. I gave my approval and within a couple of hours I was contacted again and told that it was ready. The final cost was actually a little below the estimate. This makes the second time that I have taken my Corolla to Huds for mechanical work. Both times the work was done quickly, and at a fair price. I also have had no issues with the quality of work done.

I had several people look at my car no one could tell me exactly what was wrong. As a single mother money was tight and my car was having trouble I went here and not only were they able to fix my car but did it at no cost to me. They said it was a very simple fix just needed to add a bolt and refused to take payment from me. The staff was super friendly and even help to entertain my son while the repair was being made I wish more businesses had the report and demeanor of this establishment. I drove my suv across the country when I moved to Lubbock. When I got here though, my brakes were wrecked. I called Hud's asking how long and how much it cost to get them repaired. They told me they could do it the same day and then gave me a very reasonable price. I dropped my suv off around 10am and they were done by 2. The man at the deck was very friendly and went over the price again. I will go here again if my car ever needs it, because I know they don't try to rip you off and have very good customer service.

My car overheated on my way to a doctor's appt and thank goodness, I was one block from Hud's. I did a quick Google search, being from out of town, to find a car repair place close. Hud's was just one of three but their reviews were fantastic so I pulled in. I explained to them my situation and they immediately offered to take me to my doctors appointment while they looked under the hood. I was at my appointment on time and by the time I got out, everything was looked over and they had figured out the problem. They picked me back up and I was on my way home much sooner than I probably would've been anywhere else. They even found another problem I wasn't aware of (unrelated to the overheating) and gave me the info for my local repairman instead of fixing it themselves without asking, like has happened to me before. Hud himself and another staff member were very polite and didn't make me feel unknowledgable at all. Such great customer service!

They even have a FREE shuttle that can take you where you need to go while your vehicle is being worked on. I totally recommend. The price can seem a little high but you're getting what you pay for. As someone with ZERO mechanical knowledge, it's comforting to know that I'm not being taken advantage of when I take my car to Hud's. Their staff is knowledgeable and willing to work with you when you can't afford to do everything they are suggesting. I often have to ask "what is the minimum I can do and still have a safe car?" and they are quick to suggest what has to be done vs. what can wait. They are honest and fair and as much as it stinks having to have work done on your car, you can rest assured that you're getting fair work at a fair price when you trust your vehicle to Hud.

It's hard to give such a yucky day 5 stars, but Hud's made a terrible situation bearable. We were in Lubbock for a school function for a couple of days when my car starting making a strange noise. I wanted to get it checked out before we drove 5 hours home with kids in the car, and I'm glad we did. Robert was extremely nice and helpful over the phone and told us to come on over and they'd fit us in. It didn't take Hud 5 minutes to determine that my alternator was about to quit on me. Not only did they fit in the repair, Hud's wife, Lisa (I think?!) gave us a ride to a neighboring shopping center so we could grab a bite to eat and hang out while it was being fixed. They also replaced a couple of pulley's for only the cost of the parts and not labor since that part was already in pieces. Aaron, another tech, was also super nice and helpful when we returned to pick up the car. All in all, it is never fun when your car breaks down (especially when you are out of town!), but Hud's took great care of us and I would recommend them to anyone.

My car was driving funny and a diagnostic test at another company showed I needed to replace my alternator. That company wanted to charge an overpriced amount. I called Hud's to see if they could do the job and they had my car fixed and ready to go the very next day. The service was amazing and everyone was extremely friendly. The shuttle service they provided was great and much needed. I was highly satisfied with my experience and at such a great price!

Cannot say enough about Hud's. My TTU daughter had a very bad experience with another vendor (closer to campus). We decided to try Hud's based on the positive reviews. They diagnosed the issue as a problem with the gas cap not sealing properly, cleaned the seal and did not charge her for the service. THANKS SO MUCH!

Where all the other automotive shops inside the loop are looking to take your money and dish you out shoddy repairs, Huds looks to make you a repeat customer and keep you running smooth. I was so well treated by these guys that I take as many opportunities as I can to recommend them to my friends, family, hell I'd tell anyone to go there just to give that great man some more business. Hud did great work on my Focus. That poor thing was in trouble when I brought it in. Him and his crew fixed it up quickly and it works fantastic! Honest and fair. That's all you can ask for in an auto shop these days. And it's hard to find someone you can trust. Well, Hud's has proven themselves as a trustworthy business to me. They don't try to upsale or mislead you, and their prices are always fair. As an electrician, I know labor costs money. They do a good job labor wise and typically pretty quick too. They also stand by their warranty for any type of work done. They have taken care of my daughters car multiple times (it's an old car) and have always done a good job. I would definitely recommend Hud's for any type of auto work.
